Statement by AFL-CIO President John Sweeney Praising the Obama Administration for Supporting Workers in Providence, R.I.

Today’s announcement that Vice President Biden and the Cabinet will not attend the League of Cities meeting in Providence, R.I. is an important statement in support of the firefighters, police and teachers who go to work every day in order to help others. In supporting them, and respecting the picket line, the Obama administration supports all working families in Providence.
