Gov. Kulongoski will ensure health care for all of Oregon’s 117,000 uninsured children. He supports Initiative 122, which will give access to the drug discount program to more than 1 million Oregonians who lack prescription drug coverage. (The Oregonian, 7/27/06, 6/18/06)

RON SAXTON PUTS WORKING FAMILIES AT RISK

Will Roll Back Minimum Wage Improvements.
Ron Saxton will abolish indexing the minimum wage to the cost of living, ending the voterapproved annual minimum wage increase. (Daily Journal of Commerce, 2/2/06; The Oregonian, 9/16/06)

Will Privatize Our Jobs.
Ron Saxton will contract out state services to the private sector. He says he will “engage the private sector to perform services.” (The Oregonian, 6/30/06; www.votesaxton.com)

Will Deny Us Health Care.
Ron Saxton says, “I don’t think it’s government’s role to deliver or pay for health care.” (The Associated Press, 4/22/06)
