Advocated for Our Health Care.
Betty Sutton introduced a bill to prevent health insurance companies from denying or delaying treatment, dramatically improving the delivery of health services for Ohioans. She says, “Patients deserve the coverage they pay for.” (Akron Beacon Journal, 01/11/1998)

Fought for Our Wages.
Betty Sutton co-sponsored a bill to raise Ohio’s minimum wage. (H.B. 240, 121st Ohio General Assembly)

Preserved Our Retirement Security.
Betty Sutton voted for a bill that increased retirement benefits for teachers. (H.B. 339, 122nd Ohio General Assembly)



GRAIG FOLTIN SEEKS TO CUT OUR PAY, BENEFITS

Craig Foltin wanted all city union workers—fire, police and steelworkers—to take a 5 percent pay cut and pay 20 percent of their health benefits or face layoffs. He also wanted firefighters to accept a wage freeze, unpaid vacation and cancellation of an $800 promised bonus. (Morning Journal, 11/20/02; Cleveland Plain Dealer, 12/11/02)
