Montana Needs A Raise

The minimum wage in Montana is currently the same as the federal wage—$5.15. But union activists and members of the community successfully campaigned for an initiative to be added to the ballot this year to raise the minimum wage to $6.15 and index the wage to inflation. The "Raise Montana" coalition collected more than 22,000 signatures to qualify the measure for the ballot.
