BARON HILL WILL FIGHT FOR WORKING FAMILIES

Fought for Our Jobs. Baron Hill fought for a bill that would save American manufacturing jobs. He said because Indiana has been particularly hard hit, “I promised my constituents I'd do something about it, and today I did.” (H.R. 1769,4/11/03; Baron Press Release, 2/25/04)

Advocated for Our Health Care. Baron Hill voted for the Patients’ Bill of Rights so doctors, not insurance companies, can make the decisions about our health care. (H.R. 2663, 8/2/01)

Fought for Our Union Rights. Baron Hill supported our freedom to form unions free from employer intimidation by co-sponsoring the Employee Free Choice Act and voted to protect our overtime pay and unemployment benefits. Increased Costs of Our Health Care. Mike Sodrel voted to let employers avoid state insurance regulations, increasing insurance premiums for working families. (H.R. 525, Vote 426, 7/26/05)

o-Sponsored Anti-Union Law. Mike Sodrel is a co-sponsor of the Right-to-Work-for-Less bill designed to restrict our freedom to form unions and lower our wages and benefits. (H.R. 500, 4/21/05)
