Who Will Fight For Working Families?

PHIL HARE WILL FIGHT WORKING FAMILIES

Will Preserve Our Jobs.
Phil Hare opposes free trade agreements like NAFTA that send our jobs overseas. He said, “I’ll never vote for a piece of trade legislation that exports one single American job.” He wants firms that export jobs to pay for retraining. (Herald & Review, 6/9/06; State Journal-Register, 5/14/06)

Will Fight Health Cost Shifting.
Phil Hare is opposed to health savings accounts that shift costs—and risks—onto workers. He will fight for health care improvements in rural areas. (State Journal-Register, 5/14/06)

Supports Increasing the Minimum Wage.
Phil Hare will fight to increase the minimum wage. (Congressional Quarterly, 6/30/06)

ANDREA ZINGA WILL FAIL WORKING FAMILIES

Will Send Our Jobs Overseas.
Andrea Zinga supports unfair trade deals that send our jobs overseas. (State Journal-Register, 8/20/04)

Will Increase Costs of Health Care.
Andrea Zinga supports health savings accounts that shift costs—and risks—onto workers. She agrees with association health plans, which let employers avoid state insurance regulations and increase insurance premiums for working families. (www.andrealanezinga.com)

Against Raising the Minimum Wage. Andrea Zinga believes the government should be “out of the economic marketplace” and does not believe in the benefits of raising the minimum wage. (Congressional Quarterly, 6/30/06)
