LEONARD BOSWELL  WILL FIGHT FOR WORKING FAMILIES

Fought for Our Freedom to Form Unions. Leonard Boswell supported our freedom to form unions free from employer intimidation by co-sponsoring the Employee Free Choice Act. (H.R. 1696, 7/22/05)

Invested in Education. Leonard Boswell co-sponsored legislation to recruit new, talented teachers, increase technology in the classroom and fund school construction. He fought cuts in education funding, supported an increase in college tax credits for working families and voted to double Pell Grants. (www.boswellforcongress.com; H.R. 2660, 7/10/03)

Attacked Our Health Care. Jeff Lamberti voted against expanding the children’s health insurance plan, against requiring insurance to cover more mental illnesses and against protecting health care workers when they report workplace safety violations.
