CHRISTOPHER MURPHY WILL FIGHT FOR WORKING FAMILIES

Supports Patients’ Rights. Chris Murphy supports the Patients’ Bill of Rights to ensure that doctors, not insurance companies, make the decisions about our health. As a state senator, Murphy implemented patient-safety protections for hospitals and protected nurses from mandatory overtime. (www.senatedems.ct.gov/murphy.html)

Lowered Drug Costs. Chris Murphy led the fight to expand ConnPACE, the state’s prescription drug assistance program, and will work to fix the flawed Medicare Part D program so prescriptions are affordable. (S.B. 45, 3/4/05)
