Attacks on Public Employees

Several states are trying to follow the lead of Wisconsin and Ohio by eliminating or severely restricting the rights of teachers, fire fighters, police officers and other public workers to bargain over pay, benefits, job safety, working conditions and the best way to get the job done.  Meanwhile, there are drives to privatize vital, taxpayer funded government services—including schools—and turn them over to for-profit corporations.
