Manufacturing

manufacturing worker

Keeping our middle class strong and ensuring our nation’s national security requires a robust U.S. manufacturing base. The steady drop in U.S. manufacturing jobs is the result of a combination of the current global economic crisis and a decade-long series of bad policies. We can reverse this crisis if policymakers adopt a comprehensive national manufacturing strategy backed by long-term investments to address our infrastructure, energy and environmental needs. These policies must be accompanied by financial, trade and tax reform, industry and workforce development, health care and labor law reform.
