Join us to UNITE Against the War on Women

A new and growing movement called Unite Against the War on Women is mobilizing to push back on measure like this, with protest marches and rallies across the country on Saturday, April 28.

UNITE Women is saying, “Enough is enough,” and is mobilizing women and men to push back, according to Karen Teegarden, founder of the new organization.

Music Video Idea

I recently saw the article about the music video that UFCW 400 did about unionism in the Union City newsletter. It was a great video with a great message that got me thinking...

Being a part of IATSE I know mostly about unions related to entertainment and wonder whether these unions (IATSE, AGMA, AGVA, AFM, Actor's Equity, CWA, NFL Players, Writers Guild, SAG/AFTRA, and so on.

Judas Times Seven

A couple of weeks back I made bried mention of a new book that has now been released. It is titled "Judas Times Seven" and, although technically a novel, it provides a modicum for restorning some fairness within today's workplace. In the story Bruce, a middle-aged data entry operator, is moving well through his new job with a cheeful attitude in achieving goals and friendships.

Scraping By, Economic Tyranny, and the American Dream - Preston Henry Andrew Scott (aka Isma'il ibn Bilal)

In his book Scraping By, Seth Rockman identifies that the position held by contemporary Americans concerned with economic social justice is neither radical nor progressive. Rockman examines the history of the early Republic, in particular the City of Baltimore, thereby revealing the political-economic tension between those who controlled capital, those who contracted their labor or the labor of their slaves, and how said tension was mitigated.

Forthcoming Book

I would like to inform all of those concerned about working men and women in this country about a new book which should be released shortly. It is titled "Judas Times Seven" and exposes what I refer to as the dark side of office politics. It it a story of greed, betrayal and jealousy which tells the story of a man who is happy to be working again following a period of disability.
