Toolbox: The Crisis in Manufacturing

The nation's manufacturing industry is in crisis. Some 2.8 million manufacturing jobs have been lost since January 2001, when George W. Bush became president. The trade deficit, which is directly linked to the decline in manufacturing, has reached dangerous levels and is threatening the economic health of the nation.
