Why you are interested in Law Student Union Summer (LSUS) and what experiences and interests led you to apply;
Your prior work and experience with union organizing and/or with community, political or other social justice organizations or programs;
What you hope to achieve by your participation in LSUS.

Please include:

Your acknowledgement that you cannot be considered for LSUS if you have limitations on where you can be placed or if you are not available to participate for the entire 10-week program (June 1–Aug. 7). [Placements are nationwide, NOT in Washington, D.C., and will be determined after the hiring process has been completed.];
Your fluency, if any, in a language other than English;
Your union affiliation, if any, and that of family members (past or present union members); include union and location, if known.

DEADLINE: Your application package MUST be received by Oct. 20, 2008, for 2Ls and Jan. 26, 2009, for 1Ls.
