National Worker Center–AFL-CIO Partnership

The AFL-CIO has formed a historic partnership with the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON). AFL-CIO state federations and central labor councils will work with NDLON’s day laborer worker centers to achieve state and local enforcement of workers’ rights as well as development of new protections, such as wage and hour laws, health and safety regulations and immigrants’ rights.

Together, NDLON and the state and local AFL-CIO union movement also will work for comprehensive immigration reform that supports workplace rights and includes a path to citizenship and political equality for immigrant workers—and against punitive, anti-immigrant, anti-worker legislation.
