(Washington, DC, September 19, 2014) – The Koch Sisters – Karen and Joyce – have been making waves across the country and in our nation’s Capital this week. In just a few short days, the Koch Sisters connected with major political leaders to progressive campaigns and the general public as momentum grows for their campaign of contrast with the Koch Brothers.

In conjunction with their trip to Washington, DC, the AFL-CIO is airing a brand new television ad entitled “Billionaire Lane.” The ad joins the ongoing campaign that has garnered more than twenty thousand views in less than two weeks on YouTube alone.

While in DC, the Koch Sisters lent their voices to the cause of protecting Social Security and Medicare by speaking to a crowd of hundreds of supporters and potential new Koch Sisters.

While on Capitol Hill, the Koch Sisters joined together with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Senator Elizabeth Warren and more.

After phone banking as part of Labor 2014, the Koch Sisters took part in their first joint media interview on the Bill Press Radio Show reaching more than forty million listeners.

Finally, the Koch Sisters connected with many of the most influential labor leaders in the country including AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, AFT President Weingarten, CWA President Larry Cohen, UMWA President Cecil Roberts, AFGE President J. David Cox and USW President Leo Gerard.

To date, there are more than 1,200 new Koch Sisters in the United States with more supporters joining every day. This latest round of activity continues a campaign that will carry momentum into the November elections and beyond.
