Letter Calls for the Administration to Address Systemic Racial Bias
(Washington, DC, Aug. 26, 2014) – AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka joined a diverse group of organizations and leaders from all walks of life in signing onto a letter to President Obama calling for real solutions in the wake of the killing of unarmed teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. As the nation’s largest labor federation, the AFL-CIO believes that our nation must address issues of racial injustice in order to realize economic prosperity for all.
