AFL-CIO Calls for Action on Ebola

(Washington, DC, October, 21, 2014) – Today, AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka wrote to President Obama and House and Senate Congressional leaders calling for The President to take executive action to put in place mandatory standardsto protect health care workers and other workers from exposure to the Ebola virus. The letters also call on the Congress to work jointly with the Administration and to provide whatever support that is needed through funding and legislation to see that these protections are put in place without delay.
