This electronic AFL-CIO Voting Record will let you know where your lawmakers stand on such working family issues as strengthening Social Security and Medicare, freedom to join a union, workplace safety and more.
Last year the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) implemented new democratic union election rules that limited the ability of employers to unfairly delay elections, especially through frivolous and duplicative litigation that previously allowed employers game the system and forced workers to wait months, or even years, before being allowed to vote on joining a union. Sen. Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.) introduced a resolution to prevent the NLRB from implementing the new fair union election rules. The motion was rejected on April 24 by a vote of 45-54 (R: 45-1; D: 0-51; I: 0-2). Roll Call vote 68. Y=W, N=R.
