Using God and Jesus as Political Props
Here is a suggestion, given the conservative church-state theocrats dominating the GOP.
When they start using God, Jesus and the Bible as political props to promote their own vanity of political self-righteousness, call them on their mortal sinning.
After all, "Using God's name in Vain" is a big time violation of #3 of the Big 10: Thou Shalt Not Use God's Name in Vain."
Then, speak to their lack of moral values and lack of faith that they have to try to use God or Jesus or whomever to shore up their weak political and policy arguments....and how they are so weak of faith that they have to use Big Government to try to force their religious opinions upon everyone else to make themselves feel better through some kind of ego-tripping power move...
Then, kindly ask them to stop their abuse of God in such manner by committing such mortal sins in the public view.
From there, the argument is on the side of the Constitution and our Liberal Founding Fathers (and Mothers) who "Declared" a secular Constitution whereby all people are to be treated equally "regardless" of the racial, religious or ethnic bigotries of the few.
In fact, when they castigate Barack or anyone as not being "Christian," call them out and ask them where it says in the Constitution that only Christians are allowed to enter public office...
The argument is on our side.
Just a suggestion.
