USPS policy concerning smoking in the workplace

Smoking is prohibited by law "in the workplace" by the vast majority of states in the US. Unfortunately, the US Postal Service doesn't honor the law and allows employees to smoke in USPS shared vehicles. Non-smokers are routinely subjected to smoke and the residual odor of cigarette smoke every work day. I am so proud of my local union branch, NALC Branch 79, for officially resolving earlier this week to seek a reversal of this unhealthy, devisive and most probably illegal USPS policy. Thank you, Branch 79 members, for your strong courageous message to USPS.
