AFSCME Parodies GOP Shutdown in New Website

Are you a bit lost in what's going on with the House Republican shutdown of the federal government? Don't know if the federal government offices that you need are open or closed? AFSCME is on the job to provide you with up-to-date information about the status of the federal government at GOPshutdownlive.com .

Click on the website to see the main spoof message, which reads: "We are currently experiencing technical difficulties. We will return as soon as the Republican Party finishes its temper tantrum and accepts that Obamacare is the law of the land." A TV news-style crawl also appears at the bottom of the page, including such humorous messages as "CSPAN realizes it's actually been broadcasting reality TV," mixed in with more serious messages like "National Parks closed."
