Tune in to The Union Edge in D.C.
Pittsburgh-based The Union Edge, “Labor's Talk Radio,” is making its debut today in Washington, D.C., with a feature on this week’s local Verizon rally and an interview with Communications Workers of America (CWA) Local 2108 President Marilyn Irwin, taped live from the local’s rally outside Verizon in Silver Spring, Md.
Airing on WPWC 1480 AM from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., the show demonstrates the station’s commitment to “raising the voices of America's working men and women,” says WPWC co-owner Alex Lawson.
With The Union Edge joining the We Act Radio family, we are closer to fulfilling that commitment.
Today’s broadcast of The Union Edge, Labor’s Talk Radio, also will air programming segments from Workers Independent News, populist Jim Hightower and Free Press Media Minutes, along with national interviews, Labor History, the Lawyer Is In and Off the Clock, The American Way TV hunting and fishing shows produced by union members.
Listeners can tune in on WPWC 1480 AM, hear the program streamed live or via TheUnionEdge.com mobile app. Podcasts also can be accessed on the website and on iTunes.
