Tune in to ‘Brotherhood Outdoors’ Labor Day Marathon
On Labor Day, you can duck inside for a little bit of outdoor fun for the second annual "Brotherhood Outdoors" Labor Day marathon on the Sportsman Channel. The eight-episode marathon kicks off at 1 p.m. EDT and runs through 5 p.m.
The award-winning “Brotherhood Outdoors” is the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance’s (USA‘s) hunting and fishing series that pairs union members with renowned outdoorsman Tom Ackerman for a guided hunting or fishing trip in North America or the opportunity to show off their skills by taking Ackerman to their own favorite hunting or fishing sites.
The Labor Day marathon concludes with a new episode that features Rene Thorn, a Huntington Beach, Calif., refrigeration fitter from Plumbers and Pipe Fitters (UA) Local 250. Thorn is a devoted mother and avid sportswoman, whose passion for sporting clays led to a love affair with game birds. Now she is after bigger game.
Thorn and show host Ackerman met for a three-day hunt in the Hells Canyon area of western Idaho, a location known for its stunning views and countless wildlife, including mule deer, elk, whitetail, bear, bighorn sheep and turkeys. Find out more about Thorn, her job and her adventure.
Between episodes of Brotherhood Outdoors, Sportsman Channel and the USA will pay tribute to the men and women who are laboring to make America not only a better place to live and work but a better place to pursue their outdoor passions. Throughout the day, viewers will meet everyday heroes who are preserving North America’s wildlife habitat, protecting public access to quality places to hunt and fish and educating a future generation of sportsmen and women.
