Our sisters at the Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW) want to get the word out about a new online women’s health community just launched by the non-profit group Healthy Women that CLUW has partnered with on many projects.
Click here to go the Healthy Women Community. CLUW President Karen See says the new online community offers “a safe health haven for women” and:
a place where women can ask health questions, get answers and share their own experiences with other women, as well as with health care experts. It offers access to honest feedback, new insights and even some humor 24/7. The community is a great place for union women to find what they need and if it’s not there, they can easily ask and get a trust-worthy answer.
She points out that to communicate within the community, you do need a user name but that it doesn’t have to be your real name and if you would like to chat online with her or have any questions, her handle in the community is “Karensee.”
There also are several groups with shared interests in the Healthy Women Community, including the Labor Union Women’s Group. Click here for the ongoing discussion threads and here for the community’s blog. To join the Healthy Women Community, click here.
