Shuler Gets Out the Vote in Colorado
AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Elizabeth Shuler joined Colorado union members and other working families this weekend for a rally and canvassing during the last leg of the 2012 election campaign. The rally, at Colorado AFL-CIO headquarters, encouraged activists to reach out to undecided voters and make sure everyone gets out to vote.
"Labor's endorsement of President Obama has really inspired Colorado workers to get out the vote this year and we are honored to have Ms. Shuler lead the charge," said Mike Cerbo, executive director of the Colorado AFL-CIO, in an interview with The Contributor. "This election may be the most important in a generation. I think that's why Colorado working families have come out so passionately to support the president and make sure he is re-elected. They know working family values and Colorado jobs are at stake."
