Anat Shenker-Osorio to Discuss Her Book 'Don't Buy It: The Trouble with Talking Nonsense about the Economy' at AFL-CIO
As part of the AFL-CIO's ongoing book club series, author Anat Shenker-Osorio will be discussing her book Don't Buy It: The Trouble with Talking Nonsense about the Economy at AFL-CIO headquarters in Washington, D.C., Thursday, Oct. 3, from noon to 2 p.m. Attendees are invited to bring their lunches, and beverages will be provided.
Shenker-Osorio's book tackles the way that progressives discuss the economy and examines the language we use that actually helps promote conservative economic theories and policies. From the book's description :

No wonder Americans become willing to submit to any indignity required to keep the economy happy. Tread lightly, we can’t risk irritating the economy!
