Union Members 'Blanket' Brown County, Wis.

Union members are working to keep area residents warm this winter with Brown County United Way and the Greater Green Bay Labor Council Community Services Committee. The two groups are hosting the second annual Blanketing Brown County drive, collecting new and gently used blankets for distribution to area shelters and agencies. Blanketing Brown County begins today and continues through Jan. 29.

Green Bay Unions Lend a Hand with 'Bells of Organized Labor' and 'Blanketing Brown County'

The Greater Green Bay (Wis.) Labor Council participates in two community service drives each year. Volunteers like Plumbers and Pipe Fitters (UA) members Len Boknevitz and Glen Fay (pictured, left to right) will engage in about 260 to 280 hours of bell-ringing for the Salvation Army as part of the "Bells of Organized Labor" event.
